Level 2-3
Elite offers competitive gymnastics based on USA Gymnastics levels 2 -
10.
Level 2-3 gymnasts compete in non-sanctioned gymnastics meets
and adhere to a semi-competitive league which was designed and is represented by gyms in Kansas and Missouri. The girls
compete routines on all four events that are based on the USA Gymnastics routines but also have pieces of the future
compulsory routines. Toward the end of the season Elite hosts the TeddyBear Invitational where level 2-3 athletes can compete.
Level 2-3 gymnasts have the opportunity to experience competition. They
have a competitive leotard, they earn medals and ribbons and receive actual scores from judges.
Level 3 is a really nice transition from non-competitive to fully competitive at level
4. Girls at level 3 are not deducted for being spotted and are allowed to earn bonus for performing upgraded skills.
Levels 2-3 are a great experience for girls.
Level 4 through Optional
Elite also offers all levels of competitive gymnastics. Level 4 is the first
official fully competitive level of gymnastics. At this level girls are required to obtain a USAG competitive number
and to compete in sanctioned events. We travel to many meets every year all over the United States.
This year we will be travelling to Wichita, St. Louis, Arkansas, Iowa, Colorado, Springfield, MO, Texas, Washington and
Oklahoma.
Over the years Elite has been known to offer some of the best gymnastics in Kansas
City. Elite was the first gym in the state of Kansas to win at every level at the Kansas State Meet.
In the past 33 years Elite has sent gymnasts to state, regional, westerns, nationals, the elite
level and the collegiate level on scholarship.
The Kansas House of Representatives recognized the entire coaching staff in 1996 for Outstanding
Contribution to Gymnastics.
